The procedure of removing tartar (scaling) is performed in our surgeries with the help of ultrasound scaler. This may be further complemented by sandblasting.
Sandblasting is used to remove sludge or discolouration from the surface of teeth from tea, coffee, cigarettes or other colouring substances. As a result, it is possible to cleanse even the most inaccessible places, such as furrows on chewing surfaces, as well as interdental spaces. After scaling and sandblasting treatments, we apply chlorhexidine-based lacquers and fluoride compounds to the cleaned tooth surfaces. This reduces the post-treatment hypersensitivity and protects the surfaces of cleaned teeth against caries.
